Dorchester Two Offers Free Learning This Summer
Dorchester School District Two is offering a wonderful opportunity for all students in grades Kindergarten through 8th to participate in a FREE virtual learning experience! The Online Summer Enrichment (OSE) is designed to reinforce student learning in all subject areas and prevent summer loss.
From the comfort of your own home or via any Internet accessible computer, students can experience challenging academic exercises designed specifically to address their individual needs. Through the use of our web-based learning tool, CompassLearning Odyssey, students will have an opportunity to work through lessons, activities, quizzes and games in individualized standards-based learning paths.
Participation in the Online Summer Enrichment (OSE) is voluntary and has no affect on promotion or retention. Students who participate in the program and meet the minimum summer goal of 16 hours of usage over the 8 week program (June 4th – July 27th) will be invited to attend the OSE Bash at the end of the summer.
If you are interested please register online by May 25th at http://secure.jotform.us/Dorchester2/VSSregistration

I was very excited to hear about this program at the School Board meeting earlier this week. As a parent I know how tough it is to make sure our kids don't go backwards in education over the long summer break. 2 hours a week is very doable, and will help make sure our children are on the right track for the 2012/13 school year.
