Busted: Man Charged with Intent to Distribute Drugs Near School

A Summerville man is accused of possession with intent to distribute marijuana within a half mile of Alston Middle School and then resisting arrest, according to a Summerville Police report.

Summerville Police arrested Hykeem Antwaun Robinson, 21, of Summerville Oct. 24 during a regular patrol of the Robynwyn neighborhood. He allegedly possessed 39.5 grams or less than .1 pound of marijuana. 

According to the report, officers observed Robinson walking in a the middle of Violet Drive just after midnight. When the officer stopped Robinson, he allegedly noticed a bulge in the suspects pants. When officers attempted to detain him, Robinson allegedly resisted. 

The report stated the marijuana was wrapped into three separate bags.

Robinson faces three charges: possession with intent to distribute marijuana within a half mile of a school, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
