With drums beating and horns trumpeting, Berkeley County School District leaders cut the ribbon Tuesday on the new College Park Middle School.
The nearly $20 million school took two years and came in under budget. The district is touting the project as a model for future construction, with new efficiency measures that will save the district over the years in reduced maintenance costs.
Classes start on Monday, but students have already started to get a look at their new digs with orientation this week.
