He's No 007: Man Injured in Knife Play
Summerville man injures himself with throwing knife while watching James Bond.
Not everyone can be as suave as James Bond.
Dorchester County deputies reported a 32-year-old Summerville man suffered a self-inflicted knife injury while playing with a throwing knife. The injury was not life threatening, according to a Dorchester County Sheriff's Office spokesman.
The man said he was watching a James Bond flick at the time of injury.
According to the July 21 incident report, he was lying down and threw the knife in the air. He failed to catch it, which impaled his upper abdomen. His mother was in the kitchen and reported hearing a loud groan at the time of the incident.
Deputies reported there was no sign of a struggle and no evidence to suspect an attempted suicide.
