The unusually warm spring of 2012 has brought strawberries to market roughly a month earlier than usual. Around the Lowcountry, there are a handful of places where you can pick your own.

Here's a quick list of some of the u-pick locations within driving distance of your home, but if you know of a few others, please email us.

Strawberries are the first crops harvested in the spring and usually the harvest is complete by mid-May.

I eagerly wait for strawberry season, tomato season and peach season every year! I plan to do what I always do: eat so many strawberries this season, I don't want to see another until next year :D
