NRA Gives Ed Carter High Rating
S.C. House District 97 candidate Ed Carter receives 'AQ' rating for position on guns.
S.C. House District 97 Republican candidate Ed Carter has clinched a key rating from pro-gun ownership advocacy group National Rifle Association.
He received an "AQ," which means a candidate is "a pro-gun candidate whose rating is based solely on the candidate's responses to the NRA-PVF Candidate Questionnaire and who does not have a voting record on Second Amendment issues."
His opponent Jordan Bryngelson, who just won an endorsement from South Carolina Club for Growth, was rated with a question mark. The organization described the rating as "refused to answer the NRA-PVF Candidate Questionnaire, often an indication of indifference, if not outright hostility, to gun owners' and sportsmen's rights."

Congratulations Mr. Ed
Not Sure why I got a ?? from the NRA.
I have a copy of all survey that I have filled out. So I pulled this one to so everyone could see my answers.
1. If elected, would you support of oppose legislation to implement no-permit necessary, "Constitutional Carry," which would allow law-abiding citizens to carry firearms openly or concealed for self-defense, without a government-issued permit or training card? Support
2. If elected, would you support or oppose the passage of Firearms Freedom legislation, which affirms that state law supersedes Federal restrictions on the in-state sale of South Carolina-manufactured firearms? Support
3. If elected, would you support or oppose legislation to ban .50 caliber firearms? Oppose, I own a .50 cal black powder
4. If elected, would you support or oppose legislation that would weaken or repeal parts of South Carolina's "Castle Doctrine" or other self-defense statutes? Oppose
5. If elected, would you support or oppose legislation to allow law-abiding persons to openly carry firearms for self-defense? Support
6. If elected, would you support or oppose legislation to ban so-called "assault weapons," certain full-capacity magazines or other types of semi-automatic firearms? Oppose
This doesn't seem very hostile to gun owners to me.
