Severe Thunderstorm Warning in Effect
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester counties
Severe weather is on its way to the Lowcountry.
At 4:57 p.m. Friday the National Weather Service in Charleston issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the tri-county area until 6 p.m.
Meteorologists identified severe thunderstorms in a line of weather heading east at 70 mph. NWS said to prepare for damaging winds with gusts up to 60 mph and quarter size hail.
The counties are also under a Tornado Watch until 8 p.m. tonight.
