Update: Reevesville Fire Chief Dies in Wreck
Single-car collision near Givhans Ferry State Park claims life of driver.

RIDGEVILLE — A single-car collision off Wire Road has claimed the life of the driver, according to S.C. Highway Patrol.
According to Dorchester County Coroner Chris Nisbet, the driver was Cattle Creek Fire Department Chief Ross Reeves, 23, of Reevesville. The family has been notified of his death. Cattle Creek Fire is out of Reevesville in Dorchester County.
Reeves was driving a Ford F150 and pronounced dead at the scene, where first responders found his vehicle off road and overturned, according to S.C. Highway Patrol. The wreck occured after midnight Tuesday. Reeves was driving westbound on the road.
