Your View: White Supremacist in Summerville

What are your thoughts on 'radical rightwing' White Supremacist Kyle Rogers living in your town?

Living in Summerville, White Supremacist Kyle Rogers may not have the attention of his neighbors, but he has drawn the attention of the Southern Poverty Law Center as a key player in the Council of Conservative Citizens, according to The Post and Courier.

The Post and Courier writes:

The Southern Poverty Law Center recently named Rogers one of the radical right’s “30 to watch,” saying he is part of a new crop of activist leaders bent on distorting democracy and fomenting racial, ethnic and religious strife.

Rogers said he has received nothing but congratulations from supporters. But he scoffs at the distinction, describing it as “childish name-calling” and an inconsequential scam to boost fundraising.

Rogers said he is not a racist or a danger; he’s just voicing facts and opinions that are ignored by mainstream media.

Rogers has written the following stories for the Citizen Informer:

The Summerville area was plagued with pamphlets from a "white power" group in late 2011, but it does not appear to have connections with Rogers' group.

You're citing a non-objective Libertarian rag as the foundation of your argument that another group is non-objective? ....sorry...i think you dropped something

KKKyle is a joke; he has a select group of online supporters, but not much else.

The Dorchester County Democratic Party stands AGAINST this group and it's hateful and anti-Christian rhetoric. Please do NOT give them anymore "airtime" -- they are a disgrace to all the Constitution of the United States stands for !

Unfortunately, there are all kinds of people in this area: child molesters, rapists, thieves and yes, rightwing, white supremisists. There will always be perverted, sick people who refuse to seek help. It is our duty as well-adjusted people to recognize them for what they truly are.

Just wish they would come up with their own flag. That one is a battle flag. Not a racist white-supremist flag.
