Nason Medical Opens on Ladson Road

New urgent care site at Ladson Road and Midland Parkway opens Saturday.

Starting Saturday, Sept. 1, Summerville and Ladson area residents have a new option for emergency and urgent medical care.

Nason Medical Center will opens its doors at the intersection of Midland Parkway and Ladson Road — it's the medical facility's first entrance into the Summerville market. The free-standing facility includes everything necessary for Nason’s physicians to diagnose and treat most any medical emergency a patient might have, seven days a week.

Bankfield Holding Company LLC is the parent firm supporting operations of all Nason Medical Centers.

"This is a special day for all of us. For many years we’ve planned to come to the Summerville area," Bankfield CEO Bob Hamilton said.

Nason has four centers in North Charleston, Mount Pleasant and James Island. Wait times are typically 12 minutes.

Here's what everyone is writing on Facebook: Betty C Brooks: Yay! It's almost across the street from my house! Lisa Owen Webb: I love Nason! Free popcorn, drinks, and a flat screen in every room! Doesn't really feel like you are at the doctor's office! Tina Alderman: We went to Nasons on 78 a couple of weeks ago. It was amazing! With mountain dew, popcorn and soft toilet paper. They r VERY customer focused!

According to the Summerville Patch you give mammograms but when I called to make an appointment I was told that you do not.
