ARE YOU CONCERNED ABOUT COMMON CORE?

An open forum on the
common core standards will be held Wednesday, April 16, at the Seago Public
Library from 6:30 until 8 p.m.  The
purpose of this program is to provide a safe environment for parents and
teachers who believe the standards are flawed, and will give them a safe
environment to express their concerns.

The standards are in
the fourth year of a four-year implementation program.  At least half of the 45 states now have
serious reservations and are trying to extricate themselves.  Bills that would modify or even block the
state’s involvement have been introduced in the state legislature.
