Caring Carnival Raises Funds for Injured Couple

The Campbells were injured in a car wreck with fleeing bank robbery suspects earlier this month.

A "Caring Carnival" to benefit a couple badly injured in a wreck with fleeing bank robbery suspects is set for 4-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, at Beech Hill Elementary.

Lois and Julius Campbell are fixtures in the Summerville community. Julius is the head cook at Oscar's Place, and Lois is the custodian of Beech Hill Elementary. On July 1, they were struck by suspects attempting to evade capture, causing serious injuries

All money raised at the Caring Carnival will provide financial support to the Campbells on their road to recovery. The carnival features games, jump castles, face painting, balloon animals, bake sale, cake walks, petting zoo, pony rides, a silent auction, raffles, food and more.

If you'd like to help with the carnival, contact Kara Muller at 843-821-3970 or kmuller@dorchester2.k12.sc.us.
