The Summerville Farmers' Market has a breadth of unique, creative and exciting vendors coming every week to showcase their goods. Many of these wonderfully eccentric people have fascinating stories to share about how they became what they are today. How did you get your start?
My wife, Jacki and I were tired of the
corporate rat race and the cold of the NorthEast so we decided to relocate to the hospitable area of Summerville and bring a service related business that would enhance the lives of people we met.
Where do you find inspiration?
We find inspiration in the people we greet, the
lives we touch and the friends we meet. We have a saying at Coastal
Coffee Roasters: "Everything happens for a reason"
What challenges have you faced?
The regulatory process and building codes
have made creating a new business difficult but not impossible. We
understand the need for safety but question the grandfathering of existing businesses.
