Obituary: Deborah A. Pendergast

Deborah A. Pendergast, 49, of Summerville, wife of Arlyn Pendergast, died Saturday, January 12, 2013 at her residence.

Family and friends were invited to a visitation on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 12 o’clock until 2 o’clock followed by the funeral service at 2 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, Oakbrook Chapel, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. Burial will follow in Dorchester Memory Gardens.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Dorchester Children in Crisis, 303 E. Richardson Ave., Summerville, SC 29483.

Mrs. Pendergast was born February 3, 1963 in Charleston, daughter of the late Richard Earl Davis and Leslie Evelyn Knight Davis. She attended Charleston High School and Beta Tech where she received an associate’s degree in Computer Technology. She enjoyed Bingo but most of all she loved her children and grandchildren. She was employed as an Administrative Assistant at MUSC Digestive Disease. She was of Baptist Faith.

Survivors, including her husband Arlyn, are two daughters; Jennifer Welch (Jody) and Sherri L. Pendergast, one son; David T. Pendergast, seven grandchildren; Kalani Clark, Kyle Clark, Makenzie Welch, Katelyn Mitchell, Jonathon Welch, Brian Welch and Clancy Welch, all of Summerville, and one sister and two brothers; Cathy Davis of Summerville, Randy Popham of Oklahoma and Billy Popham of Florida.
