Michael E. “Pep” Peppler, 53, of Summerville, husband of Cindy Simpson Peppler, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012 at home.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1 until 3 o’clock on Friday, January 4, 2013 at the funeral home with funeral service following at 3 o’clock. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, Summerville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: National Stroke Association, 9707 East Easter Lane, Centennial, CO 80112 or Berkeley County SPCA, 502 Cypress Gardens Road, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.

Mr. Peppler was born July 22, 1959 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, son of David and Marjean (Langlitz) Peppler. He was a graduate of Garrett High School. He enjoyed cooking, wood working, and fishing. He was an avid sports fan and was the “pitmaster” of barbeque’s for his family and friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He worked at Costco as maintenance facilitator.

Surviving in addition to his wife are: one daughter: Jenny Peppler Morella and her children: Grady, Reagan and Isabelle all of Summerville, one stepson: Will Bostick of Summerville, three brothers: Jerry Peppler (Barbara) of Escondido, CA, Mark Peppler (Susan) of Fernandina Beach, FL and Patrick Peppler (Terri) of North Charleston, one niece and three nephews: Amanda, Adam, Zachary and David and extended family, friends and neighbors.
