POLL: Do You Agree With Episcopal Church's Decision on Same-Sex Blessings?

Vote in our poll and then tell us how you feel in the comments section below.

On Tuesday night, Episcopalians approved a churchwide ceremony for blessing same-sex couples.

During the Episcopal General Convention in Indianapolis, 80 percent of the House of Deputies voted to authorize a provisional rite for same-sex unions for the next three years.

While the AP reports, “The Witnessing and Blessing of a Lifelong Covenant,” ceremony includes prayers and an exchange of vows and rings, it is not a marriage ceremony.

Same-sex couples will have to undergo counseling before the ceremony is performed.

The convention also approved new anti-discrimination language for transgendered clergy.

Under the new policy, each Episcopal bishop will decide whether to allow the ceremonies in the local diocese.

What do you think? Should same sex-couples receive a churchwide blessing? Was the convention's decision the right one? Vote in our poll and then sound off in the comments section below.

Romans chapter 1 pertains to worship of false idols. Even Matthew Henry, a very conservative minister and faith consultant, denies your claims. Since you have that portion of the bible in front of you right now, wm - see Romans 3:23 - All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. I think you should try to examine your own sins at the moment, and quit trying to play God with your issuance of damnation.

It is obvious that liberals will try to justify their permissive lifestyle by picking out parts of the Bible which suits them. However, God chose HIS PEOPLE, the JEWS to be separate from the Gentiles (most of us) . The Bible still says "all have sinned annd fall short of the glory of God. Jesus came to offer salvation to the gentiles who woul repent of sin and ask forgiveness. Those who would not repent (homosexuals) would remain separate from God (in hell) dfor eternity.

@Michael Kuhne: '...It is obvious...' obvious to who/whom...be careful making statements w/o proof...eg, it wasn't obvious to our founders...who put separation of church in the constitution...liberals want to uphold the constitution cant quantify...but opine: religious conservatives (biblical literal interpreters) cherry pick more than the evil godless liberals... sigh, how anyone can say God choose the jews to be separate from gentiles defies logic and scripture... also, bet liberals are no more permissive than conservatives...eg, susan smith's step dad and sandusky and friends... vice defining liberals as evil and conservatives as God fearing...just make the division (discuss) sinners and non-sinners...there are equal number of sinners in any political party.
