Alleged Robber Captured

Dorchester County deputies arrest man, who called them out for a disturbance, for robbing same gas station twice.

A Summerville man calling Dorchester County deputies in regards to a disturbance Sunday found himself on the other side of the law when deputies allegedly recognized him from two previous robberies caught on surveillance images. 

Thorne Randall Scott Thomason, 22, was arrested and charged with two counts of robbery. 

The April 6 and May 19 robberies occurred at the Kangaroo Service Station at 1597 Central Ave. In both cases demanded money from the employee after covering his face with a shirt or cloth.

Thomason was identified when he called deputies to his residence for a disturbance involving an argument with his mother. Responding deputies recognized him from footage taken by surveillance photos of the gas station robbery. 

Upon interview, Thomason allegedly admitted to the crimes.
