Child Drowned in Summer Park Pond

Summerville Police report a 2-year-old child has died after drowning in a pond April 13 at Summer Park, a subdivision off Lincolnville Road.

According to the incident report, EMS was called after a woman called 9-1-1 regarding an unresponsive child who had fallen into the pond. A neighbor had pulled the child from the pond, and Summerville Fire performed CPR. 

Neighbors could not say how long the child was in the water.
