Coroner: Slain Man Died of Three Gunshot Wounds

Rose Hill homicide ruled death by gunshot.

Dorchester County Coroner Chris Nisbet reports Johnny Young Jr. died of three gunshot wounds Friday.

Nisbet released the autopsy results for the 38-year-old man Sunday. 

The alleged homicide occured at 107 Hope Drive in Rose Hill. The location is in the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office jurisdiction.

The Post and Courier reports:

Neighbors said they saw that a door window at the home had been broken, but deputies from the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office would not confirm whether they were investigating a home invasion.

According to the incident report released Monday, Young's girlfriend had dropped him off at the house an hour before deputies were called out for a suspected stabbing. The woman was on her way to Manning when she turned around to come back due to the incident. 

Young was discovered by a neighbor, lying in the kitchen. He was unresponsive with no pulse when deputies arrived.
