Details Reported in Bank Robbery

Suspect made away with $2,000, according to Summerville Police report.

Witnesses say that when Lonnie Gasque allegedly  and handed her a note demanding $5,000 and claiming he had a gun, according to a Summerville Police incident report. 

Gasque was charged with that robbery and a 2010 robbery on Wednesday.

The teller allegedly handed the suspect $2,000 during the Dec. 22 incident, according to the report. Prior statements from the police have asserted the amount to be "undetermined."

On Dec. 26, the department received a phone call from a former Richland County deputy who had an anonymous tip on Gasque's identity. Gasque's last known address was 210 Moonshadow Lane. 

That same day, Berkeley County deputies arrested Gasque for a separate incident of allegedly shoplifting $24.95 in goods in a Ladson store. Two days later, .

As of Friday, Gasque is still incarcerated at Berkeley County Detention Center.
