SUV Crashes into Ladson Children's Center

One reported injured after a vehicle ran into Star Children's Treatment Center.

A vehicle has crashed into MUSC's STAR Children's Treatment Center Thursday morning, leading one person to seek medical attention for a non-life threatening injury, according to North Charleston Police spokesman Spencer Pryor. 

The business is located at 3495 Iron Horse Road in Ladson. Police are still investigating the incident, Pryor said.

According to Pryor, the vehicle crashed into the building and struck the person inside.

LowCountryFireNews.com reported the wreck with photos at around 8:45 a.m. and began posting photos to Twitter and Facebook.

The STAR Children's Day Treatment Programs provide intensive, comprehensive care to children and adolescents with severe behavior disturbances using a "day treatment" model. Its location in Ladson serves children ages 5-13, according to the website
