A crossing guard was hit by a truck Wednesday morning near the Sangaree schools.
Natalie Boles, 35, of Summerville, was transported to MUSC, according to S.C. Highway Patrol spokesman Cpl. Bob Beres.
A Goose Creek teen driving a 1997 Chevy pickup was reportedly making a left turn from Royle Road onto School House Road at 7:15 a.m. when her truck collided with Boles.
The driver was ticketed for disobeying a school guard directing traffic, which comes with a $225 fine and four points on her driving record.
The collision is under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
