Two Arrested with 101 Grams of Drugs

Summerville Police discover drugs on traffic stop.

Pulling over a vehicle for exceeding the posted 25 mph speed limit by 9 mph, Summerville Police chanced upon 101 grams, or nearly a quarter pound, of marijuana, according to an April 27 incident report. 

Anthony Fitzgerld Brush Jr., 23, of Summerville and Fabian Tekel Council, 25, of Ridgeville were arrested for possession of marijuana near the intersection of North Hickory Street and Highway 78.

According to the report, after police pulled over the vehicle, the officer approaching it observed the passenger (Council) allegedly attempting put a plastic bag full of green substance down his pants.

After backup arrived, the officers search the vehicle, allegedly discovering three glass jars of marijuana, a .380 handgun and $2,419 in cash.

Council and Brush were both charged with unlawful carrying of a pistol, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
