U.S. Marshals Arrest Fugitive in Summerville

Robert Farrington allegedly burglarized the West Ashley home of a former girlfriend and threatened her with a gun.

U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force have arrested a Summerville man wanted for allegedly burglarizing his former girlfriend's residence and threatening to kill her, according to a Charleston County Sheriff's Office press release. 

Marshals arrested Robert W. Farrington, 36, at his residence 10 a.m. Wednesday on Argosy Street, off of Embassy Drive.

Charleston County Sheriff's Office charged Farrington with criminal domestic violence 3rd degree, assault and battery 3rd degree, burglary 1st degree, criminal domestic violence high and aggravated nature, kidnapping, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

The charges are the result of a Feb. 22, 2013, incident. During that incident, Farrington allegedly burglarized his former girlfriend's home and threatened her with a gun.

"I'm going to put a bullet in your head," he reportedly said to the girlfriend.

Farrington was apprehended without incident and transported to the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center pending a scheduled bond hearing on July 11, 2013.
