Justice Dept Approves Moving Election from May to November

Town of Summerville elections will now be held in November of odd years.

The U.S. Justice Department has approved moving Town of Summerville elections from May to November of odd years, and has granted a one-time extension for current elected officials' terms so those running in 2013 will have a small reprieve until November.

The town will now use county polling locations instead of specialized polling locations. 

and it was officially approved June 19.
