Reducing Speed Limit on E. Butternut on This Week's Agendas

Dorchester County Council and Town of Summerville meeting this week.

Dorchester County Council is poised to postpone its quadrennial real estate reassessment with a third reading scheduled for Tuesday's regular meeting of council. 

It would postpone the reassessment past the scheduled 2014 assessment to 2015. Currently Dorchester County tax values are from 2010. 

Last meeting, the second reading passed with council Chair Larry Hargett opposing it.

Council will also vote on lowering the speed limit on E. Butternut Road.

Summerville Town Council's public safety committee, and planning and development committee meet this week. There are no agenda items for the regularly scheduled meetings of parks and recreation committee and public works committee.

The planning committee plans to vote on dissolution of the planned unit development community proposed for Pine Trace, originally done in 2009. .
