Offer Made on Town-Owned Berry House

Summerville Town Council has called a special meeting 5:30 p.m. Monday to address an offer made on the historic, town-owned Berry House, according to Mayor Bill Collins.

The house was listed at $419,000 in late 2012. Collins would not disclose the offer, but said "it's reasonably close." The Town of Summerville purchased the home for $700,000 in 2008.

In 2012, the Town decided to sell the home once council determined it was not practical to renovate or repurpose the home for public use.
