Video: Paul Supporters Meet Occupy Myrtle Beach

As crowds gather in anticipation of the GOP debate in Myrtle Beach, occupiers get vocal with Ron Paul supporters.

The small gathering of Occupy Myrtle Beach, brandishing signs and chanting slogans, was joined by several Ron Paul supporters, exchanging talks about corruption in government and the presidential primary process.

Occupy Myrtle Beach expects groups from Charleston, Columbia and New York City to gather prior and during the debate.

"We're making sure they see us and possibly hear us," Occupier Mike McParland said. "This is a gift that they have given us by coming here — they came to us! They came to us! It's like going hunting and the bear came to us."

Brandon Thompson was one of the Ron Paul supporters who joined the Occupiers in the street near the convention center.

"Everybody has a voice," Thompson said. "Ron Paul, he appreciates that I believe."

Ron Paul, a patriot, who has honorably served his country, defends both the constitution and civil liberties, and is for peace and prosperity. Dr. Paul has the wisdom, foresight, honesty and integrity to be president. Dr. Paul believes spending and deficits are destroying this country. Dr. Paul's budget plan would save $1 trillion in the first year. Besides the spending cuts, there are other issues of importance to voters. For conservatives, Dr. Paul scores an A+ on all of them: Second Amendment protection, pro-life record, right-to-work, pro-business, anti-tax, states' rights, you name it. Dr. Paul also believes America should have the strongest national defense on earth — which he believes begins with not trying to constantly police the earth. Right now, our government puts our best and bravest in harm's way on a regular basis for questionable reasons and with no discernible notion of victory. This is not supporting the troops. It's abusing them. Dr. Paul wants an end to this absurd, costly policy. The voters have declared Dr. Paul the alternative to the liberal, flip flopping Mitt Romney. The other candidates are simply irrelevant. In the New Hampshire Primary, Dr. Paul received more votes than all the supposed Anti-Romney (Santorum, Gingrich, and Perry) candidates combined. The question for Republican voters is not whether they can afford to vote for Dr. Paul - it's whether they can afford not to. America Needs Ron Paul.

Well.... I have one thing to say ... at least the RON PAUL supporters have a brain and are thinking. The Occupiers are just ignorant people.

We will see if Paul will endorse the frontrunner or just be a selfish spoiler :)

Unless we radically change directions our great nation is nearing it's final collaspe. The only person seeking the office of president that offers the necessary guideance and vision is Ron Paul. The others, sadly, are repeats of the past controlled by the same people who have influenced our country in the wrong way for almost 100 years. Dr. Paul has never sold his soul for office and never would, therefore he will not be a puppet president and will answer only to the people. This is the true change needed, not false promises of the past.

oh yes.... and RON PAUL is against EAR MARKS too ... however, he puts them in BILLS which he knows will pass, and then votes "NO" .... hence ... he never votes for earmarks, but his district benefits from the earmarks anyway. Come on ... RON PAUL is just as bad as the rest of them. There are a few things I agree with him about... however, he scares the heck out of me most of the time. He is TOO OLD ! ! !

Ron Paul is the change we've been waiting for! No...poor people are not going to suffer...rich people are going to stop destroying the currency through money manipulation, so how is that hurting the poor. You go back to a strong dollar, you can buy more with less money. Does that make sense to you'all??? If it doesn't then go Google "Federal Reserve Bunk" and read that over again and again until you get it into your sweet heads, that we don't need a private bank to destroy our currency, our economy and our country....THAT IS THE ROOT OF ALL OF THIS EVIL. Get smart, vote for a true Patriot - RON PAUL 2012!

One thing is for sure. I TRUST RON PAUL, even though he says he votes against all ear marks, even though he put earmarks into bills and then votes against them. Earmarks are the least of our worries. Just like Abortion. Abortion should be between a WOMAN and her DOCTOR.... not a bunch of men in Washington making laws that apply only to women. Ron Paul may not be that bad after all.
