Bullied Boy Banned From Bringing Little Pony Bag To School Because It's Too Tempting For Bullies

Is school blaming bullying victim?

Buncombe County, North Carolina –Is a school in North Carolina blaming a bullying victim for getting bullied?

A 9-year-old boy was banned from bringing a My Little Pony bag to class because the items might prove to tempting for bullies, Fox 10TV reported.

Grayson Bruce's mother, Noreen, told Fox that school officials asked that the bag be left at home because it's a trigger for bullying. “Saying a lunchbox is a trigger for bullying, is like saying a short skirt is a trigger for rape.  It’s flawed logic, it doesn’t make any sense,” she said.

A statement from Buncombe County Schools read that officials take "bullying very seriously" and "an initial step was taken to immediately address a situation", WRIC reported.

How do you think schools should address bullying?
