heart felt sympathy to gene's family...and apologies for the following boring 'walk down memoryRead More lane'... ~~gene was the center on pre mckissick...a kirkland greenwave that won several state championships (i was a 9th grade bench warmer the year gene graduated)...and i would bet on gene's team over current greenwave...especially if both teams had to play offense and defense (and no special teams) as they did in pre mckissick years...ie, 11 players on the field for the field for the entire game... ~~of course there is a chance i would lose as gene's team would be out weighed at every position by 30-40 pounds...would you believe a 140 lb guard (bunk flowers)...ohand believe all 11 players on that team got college scholarships... ~~remember mary as a cheerleader...jo anne was a classmate...remember minnie love as sweet older than i girl...bobby (the postmaster) let me work at the PO during christmas holidays...memories...'I can smile at the old days'... ~~and again heart felt sympathy to the family who are still with us...
