I find it totally unsatisfactory that most industries locate in Charleston or Berkeley counties. If more industries were located in Dorchester County, some of the individual tax burdens would be tranferred from the individual taxpayers. This would benefit the community as a whole, creating more revenue and making it feasible to support schools, parks; etc. This has been going on for decades and I…   more ›

Richard, Here is the scenario: If Carter wins then Patsy will win in the general. Dem vs. Dem (I) Carter doesn't stand a chance. FYI: Carter is telling Dems he will switch parties to try and get them to vote for him in the primary. Bryngelson wins the primary then Patsy should retire. Republican vs Dem Patsy doesn't stand a chance. Check the #'s, this is 100% right.   more ›

Bill Hearn contradicts himself concerning building the required infrastructure for this county and his stand on impact fees. The fact is he is a spokesman for the real estate industry, and will leave the taxpayer to fund the enormous infrastructure costs while the developers make large profits and live in multimillion dollar homes on the ocean. And how do we build the infrastructure without …   more ›
