Sunday Crash Victim Identified

Authorities release the name of many killed on Dorchester Road.

Charleston County Coroner has released the name of the man killed Sunday in a I-526 crash that ocurred at Dorchester Road, according to the Post and Courier. Serjei Cahuantzi, 35, of Charleston, died on the scene of the crash on Interstate 526 eastbound near Dorchester Road, according to Charleston County Deputy Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal, the paper reports. Two eastbound lanes of 526 were closed around 4:30 p.m. Sunday following the crash, according to Live5News. The two-car collision resulted in Cahuantzi being ejected from his vehicle. He died at the scene, the TV station reports.

Three Killed in West Ashley Crash

Charleston police said the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Three people died Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash in a West Ashely. According to multiple media reports, the victims have been identified as Trevor Holmes, 37, William Morton Jr., 35, and Tanz Scott, 32, all of West Ashley. The crash happened on Playground Road and White Drive around 2:15 a.m., according to News 2.

Man Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash

Coroner said the victim died with a beer between his legs

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal two-car crash on Jedburg Road Sunday. According to Dorchester County Coroner Christopher Nesbitt, Johnny Carl Floyd, 47, of 187 George Keen Drive died at the scene of the crash, after crossing the center line and hitting a pickup truck head on. Floyd died at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to the hospital. The coroner believes that alcohol is a factor in the crash. Nesbitt said Floyd died with a beer between his legs and had multiple other cold beers in the vehicle.
