Big Crowd for MUSC Go Red Run
As many as 500 turn out for memorial 5K in Mount Pleasant.
More than 500 runners and walkers from all over the South Carolina Lowcountry turned out Saturday morning for the Go Red! Heart 5K Run and Walk in Mount Pleasant. See official times and winners here. In its second year, organizers predict the event raised at least $10,000 to be split between the American Heart Association’s Go Red campaign and MUSC’s Women’s Heart Care Program. For Stephanie Carter, the run’s founder and co-chairman, the event is personal. Her mom, Robin Seay, died in 2007 at age 47 from a massive heart attack.
