Brandon McNeil Brown charged with attempted murder of a man critically wounded in a home invasion.
Summerville Police have arrested and charged three men in connection with a Robynwyn shooting that sent one man to the hospital with critical injuries May 1 and sparked a manhunt. One of the men arrested was the one shot at 100 Myrtle Place during a burglary, Capt. Jon Rogers said. Damien Marquise Stokes, 19, and Tyrell Jamar Miles, 20, were charged with burglary first degree. Stokes received no bail, and Miles received a $70,000 bail. The alleged triggerman Brandon McNeil Brown, 24, was charged with burglary first degree, attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. He received $150,000 bail. Edited 8:15 p.m. May 16 to add new information that one of the men arrested was the man who was shot.

Summerville Police ask public for help in finding man missing since Sunday.
Summerville Police need the assistance of the public locating a missing person. Larry Jackson, 23, was last seen on Sunday, April 28, in the Brownsville Community. It is known that Jackson left 210 Boone St. at around 3 p.m. and has not been seen by family or friends since. Jackson has failed to make telephone contact with any family members or friends at this time. If any information leading to the whereabouts of Jackson is known, notify the Summerville Police Department at 851-4100.
Man shot in abdomen during alleged home invasion.
Summerville Police came up empty handed during a search for suspects wanted in connection to a man found shot on Myrtle Place Wednesday morning. The suspects were described as all male, wearing either dark clothing or camouflage. Witnesses say it was either two or four suspects seen leaving the Robynwyn home off of Shamrock Drive. The unidentified, injured man was allegedly shot in his abdomen during a home invasion. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The event happened around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and sparked a "soft" lockdown of nearby Alston Middle School. Oxycontin robber makes off with about five bottles of the powerful drug from pharmacy on North Main Street.
The CVS on North Main Street has been robbed for the second time in a month. And, again, the powerful prescription narcotic Oxycontin was the target. The robbery occured just after midnight Tuesday at the CVS on North Main Street. The robber, armed with a kitchen knife, made off with about five bottles of Oxycontin. The suspect held a white hankerchief over his face to conceal his identity, according to the report. The suspect is described as being a white man, about 5-foot, 10-inches tall, and between the ages of 25 and 30. He has a goatee beard and brown hair.
