LEARN began rehabbing Whisper and Traveler March 2, 2012.
What difference does a year make? For Whisper and Traveler, it made all the difference. The two Summerville horses were confiscated March 2, 2012. Whisper faced severe chemical burns along his back, and both were malnourished. A man was convicted of their neglect later. Click here to see more photos of the pair. LEARN is the nonprofit in charge of rehabbing the horses. Whisper was nearly adopted out to Country legend Willie Nelson, but now the horse will remain a fixture at the Ravenel facility. Traveler is available for adoption.
